Lincoln City authorities are on the lookout for repeat offenders– of the good variety.
Earlier this month, we reported on painted rocks supporting police being left at the newly constructed headquarters. It is unknown at this time if these are new rock-leaving “bandits” or the same group from before and an “investigation” is underway.
Over the weekend some kind souls decorated our gate with these gorgeous rocks. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for sharing this love.
Once again, scores of painted rocks –34 counted by this reporter– were left at the Lincoln City Police Department, this time adorning the new motorized gate police vehicles use to enter and leave the station.
The yellow and blue hearts appear to be designed by the same person (or persons) and range in size from gigantic to tiny.
While 34 may be the number of rocks counted at press time, the possibility that Sgt. Jeffrey Winn has one on his desk does exist.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Police officials could not be reached for comment as phone lines were down due to an unknown problem being addressed in Grand Ronde by telecommunications company Century Link. As soon as services are restored, we will get their comment and update this article.
