A spirited volunteer cleanup effort is underway in Otis as workers sift through the rubble of destroyed homes left behind by the Echo Mountain Complex Wildfire.
An estimated 80 volunteers from a three-state area rallied to a social media post, descending on the small Oregon community of Otis to remove the detritus from the September wildfires.
The interviews done Saturday include fire victims tearful stories, hard-working volunteers who reveal the heart-wrenching discoveries among the ashes and gripping narrative by the organizer and pastor, Corey Rivera.
