Basic Technician Class - Amateur Radio License

This 2 day class is designed to help prepared you for the 35 question exam required to qualify for a Technician Class Amateur Radio license.

During the two class days, major concepts will be explained and you will be introduced to several online and print resources that will assist you in your study. Regular exam sessions are held in Newport and Lincoln City. During the course, there will be time to talk about the exam process.

This course is held over two Saturdays:

Class 1: Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Class 2: Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch or plan to grab something nearby.

QUESTION: Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

ANSWER: No. Anyone with an interest in amateur radio, who is willing to be attentive for a few hours, is welcome.

QUESTION: Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

ANSWER: No. The registration process just helps us prepare for the class.

QUESTION: What if I can’t come both days?

ANSWER: Come on the day you can. It will still be helpful.
