State Representative David Gomberg and Lincoln City Mayor Dick Anderson testified in opposition to SB 621 in Salem Tuesday, before the Senate Committee on Business and General Government in a public hearing.
Initial discussion into legislation that would prohibit local government from enforcing ordinances restricting use of residential properties as vacation rental dwellings (VRDs) will be heard Tuesday in the Oregon Senate.
Vacation rental dwelling (VRD) owners will still be required to post large exterior signs and place illuminated house address numbers on their properties following a deadlocked vote Monday by the Lincoln City City Council on a proposed amendment to a municipal ordinance.
With the threat of burglary in mind, vacation rental dwellings (VRDs) may no longer be required to post large signs and illuminated house numbers after an amended ordinance is heard Monday at the regular meeting of the Lincoln City City Council.
