Three Taft boys runners place in top 25

    Chance Haun, Preston Nightengale and Cesar Fajardo all placed in the top 25 Saturday to lead the Taft High boys cross country team to an unofficial fifth-place finish at the Champoeg Invitational in Newberg.

    Haun placed 22nd, Nightengale 23rd and Fajardo 25th for the Tigers. Nightengale and Fajardo posted personal-best times.

    Freshmen Eli DeMello and Lucas Hindman, and junior brothers Ean and Dawson Wood all placed in he top 50 for Taft.

    Senior Alma Aguirre placed 35th for the Lady Tigers.
