Cascade Head

As the Cascade Head Scenic Research Area (CHSRA) approaches its 50th anniversary,  surrounding coastal community prepare to celebrate the occasion.

Controlled burning of slash piles on Cascade Head will be conducted to manage open grassland habitat by reducing woody material that was growing in meadow. The Nature Conservancy's Cascade Head trail will be closed Monday-Wednesday (April 15-17) for the safety of hikers and firefighters.

The City of Lincoln City is holding two public forums to discuss the proposed urban renewal boundary and a list of potential capital projects to be completed at the Villages at Cascade Head, a 360+ acre parcel of land in north Lincoln City.

Oregon Department of Forestry will execute a controlled natural habitat burn starting at 10 a.m. today at the top of Cascade Head.

An open house to discuss options for a sustainable trails plan for the Cascade Head Scenic Research Area (CHSRA) will be held Thursday, Sept. 27.
