Fall Kite Festival

Kite flying professionals and enthusiasts descended upon the coastal town of Lincoln City at D River State Recreation Site on Saturday for the annual Fall Kite Festival.

I had a great time at the 2016 Lincoln City Fall Kite Festival. I got to interview the Region 9 Director of the American Kite Flying Association, meet some Japanese foreign exchange students, and see the epic Running of the Bols.

The gusts of wind blew my truck around on the drive to the festival. I expected traffic to be a nightmare but it was light and orderly.
