Warming Shelter

The Lincoln City Warming Shelter's funding for 2018 was reduced from $45,000 to $4,600, a 90 percent cut, following a vote Monday by the Lincoln City City Council. The Warming Shelter had requested $12,000 in outside agency funds, but was approved for 38 percent of that amount.

The Warming Shelter staff are not letting the city’s recent denial of their rezone request dampen their spirits to serve the unhomed.

This Notice of Violation is provided to the responsible parties identified above pursuant to LCMC 17.84.

I know several councilors have publicly assured the community that they support the Warming Shelter and are only questioning the Mayor's integrity. So it's been disappointing to see attacks shift from the Mayor to the Shelter itself.
