The annual Lincoln City Invitational mushball tournament came to a close Sunday with Portland's Billy Webb's Elks defeating defending champions St. Johns for their first beach title, going undefeated in the process.
Scores of mushball players and their fans descended upon Lincoln City Saturday for the annual two-day Lincoln City Invitational tournament at Kirtsis Park.
St Johns rallied from the losers' bracket Sunday to defeat a team of longtime former Lincoln City-area baseball and softball stars and win the 2018 Beach Mushball Tournament title at Kirtsis Park.
Kirtsis Park was the stage for the 2018 Beach Mushball Tournament that pitted Portland Mushball League teams and a Lincoln City Beach team against one another in an epic battle of skill on the diamond.
